A school to change the world
Sapana Community School is completely free and admission in on a need basis. We prioritize single or no parent families and low- or no-income families. Impoverished families from rural Nepal have no choice but to send their children to overcrowded extremely poor quality government school. In these schools, students sit and memorize and repeat for 8 hours a day. Teacher’s often hit the children and more than 50% of students are still illiterate by grade 5. Sapana Community School gives families another choice.
