MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Since 2017, ECC Nepal has been partnering with rural government schools to improve the quality of education. We’ve partnered with 22 schools, trained over 100 teachers and helped more than 2,500 students. With our partner schools, we focus on bringing effective modern teaching techniques to rural Nepal.
School Intervention
The schools in our partner school network receive a 4-part intervention.
- Teacher training: We provide intensive training on interactive teaching and learning practices and a guideline full of games and activities for the classroom.
- Materials: Each classroom receives classroom materials. It includes everything from basics such as notebooks and pencils, to materials that support interactive learning like whiteboards, dice, and flashcards.
- Infrastructure: All our partner classrooms receive new infrastructure such as plaster, carpet, and child-friendly desks and tables.
- Support: We provide our partner school trained teachers with on-going support as they work to implement new teaching techniques.
By focusing on teacher training we are able to see sustainable and lasting changes to education in rural Nepal.
