We’re so excited to share that Library #8 is now open and already full of life.
This library came to life through a true community effort. Thanks to your support, we were able to fill it with books that are already sparking joy and imagination. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make this possible.
Our board of directors traveled to Nepal to join the opening. ECC Nepal’s director, Min Sir, led the first library class. Students held their very first storybooks and discovered the magic of reading. One special moment from the class was when students acted out a scene from the book. They were nervous at first, but soon the room was filled with laughter. It was a beautiful reminder that learning should feel fun and full of joy.
We’re also happy to welcome our new librarian, a passionate woman from the local community. She will be leading daily classes that focus on the four pillars of literacy: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Her energy and commitment will help students grow every day.
Around 200 students will visit this library every day to build early literacy skills. Thank you to everyone who made this possible. You are giving the gift of learning.
