Gamaudi School Project

ECC started in 3 schools in an extremely remote and rural Nepali region called Dailekh. These 3 initial schools are part of our Gamaudi school. We trial all of our projects at these schools first to check their efficacy. 

2. Shree Indra Jwola School

Grade 1-8, big school (25-30 kids per class), teachers are very hardworking, receiving a library and resource room in 2020

1. Shree Binda Basani School

Grades 1-5, Our smallest School (6-10 kids per class), dedicated teachers, really well-managed school kitchen-garden

3. Shree Krishna School

MARCH 2018

Grade 1-5, small school (8-12 kids per class), very active students, ECCs first library opened here in 2019

Dullu School Project

With the governments support, ECC expanded to 13 new schools, one from each of the wards in the Dullu municipality. These schools are much more spread out, making travel more difficult and resources more valuable. Based on the school’s efforts and management, we continue to add new projects to our DSP schools every year.

Grades 1-6, 30-40 kids per class (55 kids in grade 1), teachers are motivated and invested

Grades 1-8, 30-35 per class (65 in grade 1), extremely poor and isolated area, hard-working and honest teachers

Shree Kalika Secondary School

Grades 1-12, 20-25 kids per class, biggest school we work in, closer to the village centre and more resources

Shree Bhaneshwor Secondary School

Grades 1-10, 25-30 kids per class, students walk 1-2 hrs to reach this school from isolated areas

Grades 1-6, 15-20 kids per class, patient and dedicated teachers

Grades 1-12, 10-15 kids per class, extremely remote area difficult to travel to

Acceptance of any contribution, gift or grant is at the discretion of the Education Concern Center. The Education Concern Center will not accept any gift unless it can be used or expended consistently with the purpose and mission of the Education Concern Center.

No irrevocable gift, whether outright or life-income in character, will be accepted if under any reasonable set of circumstances the gift would jeopardize the donor’s financial security.

The Education Concern Center will refrain from providing advice about the tax or other treatment of gifts and will encourage donors to seek guidance from their own professional advisers to assist them in the process of making their donation.

The Education Concern Center will accept donations of cash or publicly traded securities. Gifts of in-kind services will be accepted at the discretion of the Education Concern Center.

Certain other gifts, real property, personal property, in-kind gifts, non-liquid securities, and contributions whose sources are not transparent or whose use is restricted in some manner, must be reviewed prior to acceptance due to the special obligations raised or liabilities they may pose for Education Concern Center.

The Education Concern Center will provide acknowledgments to donors meeting tax requirements for property received by the charity as a gift. However, except for gifts of cash and publicly traded securities, no value shall be ascribed to any receipt or other form of substantiation of a gift received by Education Concern Center.

The Education Concern Center will respect the intent of the donor relating to gifts for restricted purposes and those relating to the desire to remain anonymous. With respect to anonymous gifts, the Education Concern Center will restrict information about the donor to only those staff members with a need to know.

The Education Concern Center will not compensate, whether through commissions, finders' fees, or other means, any third party for directing a gift or a donor to the Education Concern Center.
