This past month our school was alive with excitement and pride as we held our Learning Fair at Sapana Community School. Students from Grades 1 to 7 set up stalls to share the work they completed this term, including colorful posters, creative projects, and written assignments.
Parents walked through each stall and saw their children’s progress up close. For many families who did not have the chance to attend school themselves, these moments were especially meaningful. The smiles and proud glances said more than words ever could.
Parent engagement is especially powerful in communities facing extreme poverty—many parents at Sapana are illiterate or never had access to quality education, but when families take part in their child’s learning, it makes a world of difference.
Our youngest learners in JK and SK added to the joy by performing songs and dances on stage. Their enthusiasm filled the room and had everyone clapping and cheering.Â
We are so proud of every student for their hard work and creativity and we are deeply grateful to the teachers and families who made this event possible.
